We have come to the end of what feels like a very quick week!

Things have really ramped up with our Christmas Play this week and I have been so impressed with all children in Lime Tree Class, and the rest of KS1! It has been great to see all children taking their parts seriously, practising in their own time and engaging well in the times we have had to practise in the hall. I am so pleased that we have been able to do the plays this year and that we will get to perform them in front of parents / carers next week!

We are coming to the end of our Amazing Artists topic now and we have been looking at many different styles of art over the last 5 weeks. We will be looking at William Morris and David Hockney in a little more depth next week before we move on.

Have an excellent weekend everyone!

I have been extremely impressed with the children this week as they have started to get to grips with their roles in the Christmas Play. Children that have a speaking part have been working hard on their lines and everyone has been concentrating really hard on when it is their turn to speak or dance. Keep practising over the weekend!

In Maths we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes. In Year 1 we have been recognising, naming and using them to make patterns and models. In Year 2 we have been looking at the properties of each of the shapes including their sides, vertices and faces.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Another busy week in Lime Tree Class comes to a close...on a Thursday!

All pupils have worked extremely hard this week on their Maths and English this week, looking at addition and subtraction in both Year 1 and Year 2. In English we have been predicting what will happen in our new class read 'Where The Wild Things Are'. This has generated some excellent discussion and ideas in class.

Well done to all our pupils who joined in with the Odd Socks day on Monday and the Children in Need non-uniform day today. Both are really important events which raise awareness for important issues and we had a great contribution on both days.

Have a nice long weekend everyone!

Mr Spence
