A great week in school for everyone in Lime Tree Class!
We have been working hard on our English work, finishing our book 'Handa's Surprise' and completing some lovely writing in the process.
Our Year 2 pupils have been working hard on some assessments which they have all worked extremely hard on and they should be very proud of themselves.
We have continued our senses work in Science, leading on from our tasting experiment last week. We used our sense of smell this week to get three different things in mystery cups.

A busy week for us in KS1 this week with various different things going on.
On Tuesday and Wednesday we have had Year 2 assessments in reading going on which pupils have worked extremely hard on, as well as some extra skipping practise ready for our Year 2 competition in June.
Our Science lesson has been an exciting one with work relating to our 5 senses. We had some listening, feeling and tasting activities to complete which as you can see the children thoroughly enjoyed!

A super week in school with our new Africa topic starting and lots of exciting opportunities coming up!
We started to look at the continent of Africa this week. We looked at the continents location on a map and what countries are within it. We also started to explore our new class book 'Handa's Surprise' which tells the story of a little girl from Kenya and her journey collecting some fruit for her friend.
KS1 Sports club started on Thursday with the first group of children enjoying a super session with Sam. The other group will start a week on Monday allowing all interested pupils to attend! There are still some places left if anyone would like to join please contact the office.
We have spent some time practising for our Y2 skipping competition in PE this week. Our pupils know which events there will be on the day and it would be great if they have a rope at home for them to keep practising.
