Weekly Update - 14.01.22

Mr Spence (t.spence) on: Lime Tree Class Blog 2021-2022

Our focus on CInderella has continued this week with some excellent writing in Lime Tree Class. We have looked at the contrast of thoughts and feelings from when CInderella was working for her Stepmother and Stepsisters to when she was granted her wish and was able to go to the ball. The children have been extremely enthusiastic about this story and have produced some lovely writing with it this week.

We enjoyed a lovely music performance and workshop on Friday morning. We had a superb performance called 'Skylar's lost note', before taking part in a workshop learning about different aspects of music.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Weekly Update - 07.01.22

After what feels like a very quick few days, we have come to the end of our first school week of 2022!

The children have come back with a great enthusiasm for learning which has helped us hit the ground running with our learning this week. We have started our 'Changes' topic this week by looking at the UK on a map, and looking at the different weather we get in our country.

In Maths we have started to look at Multiplication in both Year 1 and Year 2. We are encouraging our pupils to keep practising counting in 2's 5's and 10's for this, as well as 3's for our Year 2 children.

Have a great weekend all

Weekly Update 10.12.21

Mr Spence (t.spence) on: Lime Tree Class Blog 2021-2022

We have just come to the end of our penultimate week, and it has certainly been a busy one!

With rehearsals on Monday and Tuesday followed by our final performances on Wednesday and Thursday, the children have done extremely well to remember their lines, dances and actions for each performance and they should be very proud of themselves for how well both performances went.

Thank you to all who helped with practising lines at home and all those that were able to attend one of the shows. It was great for people to be able to come back in and see the performances again after not being able to in the past year.

Next week is set to be another busy one with KS2 dress rehearsal on Monday, Christmas Party on Wednesday and Christmas Dinner (Children can wear Christmas jumper for this) on Friday.

Please note - I have also sent a note home to let parents know that we will be doing PE on Monday next week, instead of our normal Wednesday slot due to parties and shows.

Have a great weekend and a well earned rest everyone.

Mr Spence
