A huge hello to everyone on my first Oak Tree Class blog post.
The pupils have done an excellent job at settling into class and supporting (bearing with) me as I settle into Rufford Park.
We spent the first couple of days getting to know each other and our classroom environment. It's been very interesting hearing about all the different things the pupils have got up to over the Summer and in their spare time.
We conducted a Science observation to see how soap can keep us safe. This allowed from great discussion around hygiene and looking after ourselves and each other.
We then continued into a more structured week, allowing me to set my learning expectations, which the pupils adapted to very well.
I'm looking forward to further learning next week, with the opportunity of meeting some parents/carers during our 'Open Classroom'.
