We have had another wonderful week in Pear Tree class. All the children have settled well and seem very happy in our new class.
This week we started learning about London. We have been looking at different London landmarks on Google Maps, as well as talking about what London was like in the past.
In science this week we learnt about the importance of exercise and we conducted an experiment to see what happens to your body when you exercise. The children especially enjoyed this - have a look at our photos below!

We have had a fantastic start to the new school year in Pear Tree Class!
We have spent the week getting used to our new classroom and I have been very impressed with how quickly the children have started to learn our new classroom routines. We have done a lot of writing all about ourselves and have also been recapping our counting up to 10.
Our topic this term is 'Emergency 999', where we will be learning all about London and The Great Fire of London. Look out for an update on Pear Tree class webpage about the Year One curriculum.
