Happy New Year!
It has been lovely to have everyone back in school this week.
Lots of activities have been taking place in school with some children attending the Young Voices event in Sheffield and the football team playing a cup match at Benton Park School. Next week, a number of children will be taking part in an Indoor Athletics competition in Horsforth.
On Wednesday, all of Upper Key Stage 2 took part in a 'Launch Day' to introduce our geography topic for the Spring Term. The children learned about the features of mountains and rivers, North American landscapes (art focus) and started their research on Leeds and a twinned town/city of their choice. This will link to the children's forthcoming report writing where the focus will be on landmarks, climate and geographical features (physical and human). The children enjoyed moving to different classes to take part in the different activities and it was lovely for staff to get to know children from other classes.
A great start to 2024!

Hello,
It has been a very Christmassy week in school. Maple Tree Class have enjoyed watching both the early years and Key Stage 1 performances which were both fantastic! We have also been busy preparing for our own performance 'A Very Victorian Christmas'. The children have worked hard to learn songs and recite a poem.
Next week, is the final week of the term and it is jam packed with activities, the performance, the Christmas party and a UKS2 football tournament.
We will all be ready for the holidays by next Friday!
