Hello!
We have had another super week of learning in Pear Tree class.
In English we have continued with our 'What the Ladybird Heard' writing. We created a Talk for Writing Story Map which the children used to retell the story to a partner. We had some very brave volunteers who retold the story to the whole class (see videos below). The children then used to map to retell part of the story in their own words.
In Maths we have been looking at using a ‘part-whole’ model to split numbers into parts and looking at how we can use the part-whole model to help us to solve addition number sentences.
On Thursday we voted for our new School Council Representative. I was so impressed with the number of candidates and with how well they all shared their posters! The votes were very close but the winner was Martha :)
