Hello!
We have had another super week of learning in Pear Tree class.
In English this week we started a new focus text 'What the Ladybird Heard'. The children have been writing descriptive sentences about the hero ladybird who saves the farm.
In Maths we have been comparing numbers and objects using mathematical vocabulary; greater than, less than and equal to.
As Autumn is now well underway we seized the opportunity to go on a woodland walk to collect natural objects, that we will be using to create an Andy Goldsworthy inspired nature sculpture next week. The mini models that we made in week 2 are now on display for the whole school to see!
EXCITING NEWS: It is time to elect our new School Council representative! If your child is interested in being Pear Tree's representative, they will need to make a poster about why they should be voted for and bring this to school. The deadline for children's posters is Monday 5th October.
