Hello!
What a busy week!
On Tuesday we had the KS1 Disco. The children all looked fantastic in their party clothes and had some great fun dancing in bubbles.
On Wednesday we had our African Drumming Workshop. We learnt a bit of history about where the drum came from and why they were used. We learnt how to hold the drums correctly and how to make different sounds by hitting the drums with our hands.

After the drumming workshop we all went to the Community Room and made South African Crunchies. Crunchies are a traditional traybake filled with oats, coconut and golden syrup. Everyone had great fun making these and took some home which hopefully they shared... If not and you fancy a bit of baking here is the recipe that we used: https://drizzleanddip.com/wprm_print/the-best-south-african-crunchie-recipe#
In DT the children made their own fabulous fruit salads. The children planned these last week and did a great job at following their plan. They really enjoyed the eating part of the lesson too!
Reports were given to the children on Thursday - Thank you to those who have already given me the reply slips! It is always lovely to have feedback on them.
Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine.
