Hello!
It has been a lovely week in Pear Tree with even some sunshine to enjoy :)
In Maths we have spent the week recapping missing number addition and subtraction using a number line.
In our Geography lesson we recapped on what the equator is and learnt about the continent Africa. The children were amazed to learn that there are 54 countries in Africa and there are over 1000 different languages spoken there.
In Art we learnt about Marc Quinn and we were inspired to recreate a sculpture that Quinn created of his hand. Every child made their own hand sculpture using air drying clay. You will be able to see some of these through our classroom window!
On Thursday everyone was sent home with a letter about our end of year trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We are all very excited about this and would appreciate your response slips back as soon as possible.
