Hello!
We have had another lovely week in Pear. The highlight of the week has definitely been 'World Book Day'.
It was amazing to see so many different characters walk through the door on Thursday morning. All the children were able to tell me who they were and why they had chosen that character. KS1 and EYFS took part in a cat-walk to show off all of the children's fabulous costumes. As World Book Day is all about reading and sharing books we played some book themed games such as a story scavenger hunt and a story quiz. Most importantly we read LOTS of books!
Please continue to reinforce the important message of 'World Book Day' at home with your children. Encourage them to choose to read for pleasure and read lots of stories to them too!
Just a little reminder that parents evening is taking place on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th. Please book an appointment if you haven't done so already :)
