Hello!
We have had a fantastic first week back. All the children have returned to school with big smiles and a positive attitude to learning!
On Wednesday KS1 had an Explorers Day. This was to launch our new topic and writing focus for this half term. We all had a fantastic day and the children looked amazing in their costumes :) In Geography we also recapped on the seven continents of the world. After learning some new facts about each continent the children had to label a world map. In English we have introduced our new focus text 'The Pirates Next Door'. The children have been learning about the new pirate family - The Jolly Rogers. In Maths we have been looking at position and direction. The children have been looking at the following vocabulary: left, right, full turn, half turn, clockwise & anticlockwise.
