A wonderfully sunny week has come to the end.
We have completed our written work on 'Handa's Surprise' by writing a recount from Handa's point of view. Next week we will be using the story of 'Lila and the Secret of Rain' to inspire our writing.
In maths both Year 1 and Year 2 have been looking at how to solve missing number calculations using the inverse operation.
We have continued our Art topic of 'Let's Sculpt'; this week the children learnt about the sculptor Marc Quinn and were inspired to create their own hand sculpture similar to his artwork.
In science we have continued learning about plants. We learnt the names for parts of trees and compared different flowering plants.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend and I will see you again on Tuesday!
