Weekly Update 20.3.26
Posted: Mar 20, 2026 by: K Atkinson (k.atkinson) on: Lime Tree Class Blog
We have enjoyed some sunnier weather this week!
In maths we have begun learning about position and direction. Year 1 have learnt how to turn objects a whole, half and quarter turn. We have also begun looking at clockwise and anticlockwise turns. Year 2 also recapped this from Year 1 and have looked at moving objects in different directions as well. We have spent some time outside practising different turns.
In English the children have written posters about Yeadon for Stick Man! They have written about The Tarn, The High Street and Rufford Park Primary School! The children really enjoyed this unit of work and enjoyed illustrating their posters.
Elsewhere in the curriculum we have learnt where the equator is and what the weather is like in countries that are on the equator. We have also continued learning about PANTs are private in PSHE and listened to the NSPCC's 'Pantosaurus Song' which can be found on YouTube here: Pantosaurus Song
Thank you for attending the Parent's Evening meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday; I hope you found these useful and enjoyed having a chance to look at your child's work.
Enjoy the sunny weekend and I will see you again on Monday,
Miss Atkinson
