Weekly Update 23.1.26

This week has flown by!
In maths, both year 1 and year 2 have recapped how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. Year 2 have also made good progress with learning their times tables and have also begun to understand division as grouping and sharing.
In English we have practiced writing invitations to invite Cinderella to Prince Charming's ball.
The children have hugely enjoyed DT. Our topic for this half term is to make a moving picture using different mechanims; last week we created sliders and this week we have created levers.
In computing we have also explored how to use different programmes in Chrome MuiscLab to create music.
The highlight of the week for a lot of the children was meeting Steel from gladiators. The children enjoyed the whole school assembly on Thursday morning and then enjoyed asking him some questions in class after.
