Weekly Update 5.12.25

Our rehearsals for the Christmas play are well underway and we cannot wait to perform 'Prickly Hay' for you next week! The children have all worked so hard learning lines, dances and songs and should be very proud of themselves.
Elsewhere in the curriculum Year 1 have learnt how to represent teen numbers and count to 20. Year 2 have learnt how to subtract from multiples of 10. In English we have recapped how to change verbs into the past tense by adding the 'ed' suffix. We have also sequenced the story of 'The Emperor of Absurdia' in preparation to write a recount next week.
Year 2 have also learnt how to spell words ending in 'ies' and Year 1 have recapped how to read and spell o-e and u-e words in phonics.
