This week has flown by.
In English we have written a description of the Wardrobe Monster from "The Emperor of Absurdia". I was amazed with the quality of writing - so many children included a variety of conjunctions and expanded noun phrases and even some similes!
In science we continued to explore materials by looking at which objects float, and which sink. We completed an investigation as a class by testing a variety of objects in a tray of water which the children found fascinating.
We have finished our art unit of 'Colour Chaos' by learning about artists Paul Klee and Jackson Pollock. We explored how to make colours lighter by adding white. We then worked as a class to create a huge piece of art using drip painting.
Practicing for the Christmas Play is underway and we look forward to performing ‘Prickly Hay’ in just over a week.
