I hope everyone had a relaxing break and enjoyed the weekend's celebrations. The pupils have returned for their last half-term in Year 5 with a great attitude for learning.
In Maths, we have begun our positions and directions unit. The pupils have shown a great understanding of quadrants and co-ordinates.
In English, we have used a unit from last half-term to independently plan and write a Myth. The pupils have created their own mythical creatures and it will be interesting to see what special features/powers they have.
In Science, we continued to look and Earth and Space. We discussed Geocentric and Heliocentric theories and how those have changed over the centuries, before researching a famous scientist/astronomer that had been discussed.
