In Science this week, we continued looking at the planets in our Solar System. After last week's fact finding lesson, we discussed the planet sizes using food as a representation. After agreeing which food represented which planet, we moved outside and discussed the planets positions. The pupils placed the 'planets' along the playground from our hula-hoop sun before I put the planets in their correct position, which provided some good consolidation.
In PE, the pupils finished off the half-term by taking part in a mini-Olympics. In house groups, the pupils took part in a sprint race, long jump, javelin throw and tag wrestling. All the pupils did really well and tried their best in all the events. The winning house (by 3 points) was Amber.
