We started the week off with a visit from Mr Jennings, who is a music teacher. We got out the xylophones and the pupils worked on practising a tune before performing it to the class.
In Maths, we are coming towards the end of our fractions unit (hooray the pupils the cry, until they hear it's decimals next). We have looked at combining different objectives we have learnt to start problem solving with fractions. The pupils have enjoyed the challenge of problem solving and have shown some great resilience.
In PE on Thursday, we started out dance unit. We were looking a creating a non-locomotive dance routine in a Bollywood style. The pupils took to this really well and, after learning our step touch, bhangra shoulders, shimmy shoulders and hands on hip techniques, worked in pairs to combine these into their own routines. I was very impressed with the creativity of our pairs and their confidence to perform.
