Hi,
This week Ash Tree have had a very exciting (and creative!) week.
Firstly, we had a visit from a local artist on Tuesday morning who helped us to start our new art unit - Wildlife (Birds). He helped us develop our skills drawing birds and feathers in pencil and also shared some of his own artwork with us for inspiration! We are looking forward to applying what we learnt to the rest of our artwork this term.
Later in the week we also finished our DT automata animals project. Our design brief was to create a collection of appealing moving mechanical models (automata animals) that will captivate people's interest in endangered animals. I think we achieved this very well! Thank you to the Friends of Rufford Park for providing the funds for these. All orders need to be made by Friday 2nd June so they can be delivered to school by before the end of June.
