Hello everyone,
This week, in our writing, we have completed our persuasive pieces of writing about Yorkshire. The children have worked incredibly hard on them and they would definitely persuade someone from Campania to come and visit Yorkshire.
In maths, we have continued with our work on fractions. We have been focused on converting mixed numbers into improper fractions and vice versa. We have also worked on finding fractions of amounts. The children have been brilliant and made so much progress throughout the week!
In geography, the children chose a volcano of their choice and created a fact file about it based on everything they have been learning about throughout our topic, along with some extra research they did for the volcano that they chose. They produced some fantastic fact files which were about volcanoes such as: Mt Fuji, Kilauea, Mt Vesuvius and Mt St Helens.
Finally, it was lovely to chat to all the parents across the two nights about the great progress that the children are making.
Take care,
Mr Kyriacou

Hello everyone,
This week, the children have been doing a range of Spring term assessments and have all worked extremely hard on them and the results are looking very promising. Well done!
In our writing, we have started drafting our persuasive text about Yorkshire, which will aim to persuade someone from Campania to come and visit Yorkshire and enjoy all the fantastic things it has to offer.
In our maths, we have continued our work on fractions and this week we have been focusing on converting mixed numbers into improper fractions and vice versa.
In our reading, we have continued to read our class novel (Kidnap in the Caribbean) along with our story time book (The Secrets of Vesuvius) which the children are all really enjoying.
Take care,
Mr Kyriacou
