Weekly Update 10.7.26

We have had a fun-filled week in Lime Tree Class!
On Wednesday morning we completed our topic on Africa by celebrating with an African drumming workshop with Mr Jennings. We explored different percussion instruments and completed some call and response activities.
On Thursday afternoon we made a fruit salad, following the plan that we created a few weeks ago. The children learnt how to cut and prepare fruits safely, using different cutting methods using the plastic knives.
On Tuesday afternoon we created an African silhouette painting, blending red, yellow and orange together to make a beautiful sunset background, before sticking on silhouettes made out of black card.
I hope you enjoyed seeing the African homework project after school on Friday - the children's sculptures were all amazing and it was wonderful to see how everyone had interpretted the project.
