***20.4.20 - Space Topic Update!!!!***

It might be too late for you to read this now but I have just heard there is going to be a satellite train flying over Leeds at 9.58pm tonight! It will last around 6 minutes and if you are allowed to stay up it could be quite interesting to see! Can you do some research to find out what a satellite train is?

Hello again Ash Tree Class!

Today is the last day of the "Easter holidays" and is the official start of Summer term. I hope you have all had a break from school work and were able to do some fun activities with your families (even if they were different to what you had planned!).

It has been great to hear from some of you on our Ash Tree blog which you can access through Purple Mash. I would love it if even more of you had a go and tried posting - house point to the first person who can work out how to attach a picture of some exciting work they have done!

It is super important now the holidays are over that you get back into a routine and do some school work each day. You do not want all the hard work you have put in this year to go to waste, so you must keep learning to prepare yourselves for when we return to school.

In your home learning folders, you were given a workbook with lots of different English and maths activities. Some of these activities were quite challenging so it would be good to reflect on your work and mark these tasks. You can download the answers for your workbook below:

Finally, as we are beginning a new school term, you have some new and exciting topics to learn about. Your new science topic is "Space" and your new history/geography topic is "Ancient Greece". Our class page will now be updated each week with a new timetable of lessons for you to complete at home - with links to our new topics. Some activities are to be completed online and some you will need to write down on paper. There are some learning objectives and tasks you will have covered in school before (like a non-chronological report!) and some will be new, so don't worry if you find them tricky. You can always ask for help via the class blog.

You can see the weekly learning timetable for Summer 1 Week 1 below:

Work hard and keep staying safe!
