Hello,
What an amazing start to the year!
The children in Ash Tree Class arrived in school ready to make the most of the year ahead and we have been busy!
We have introduced the class novel 'Goodnight Mr Tom' which is linked to our World War Two topic. We had a great discussion about World War Two and it was lovely to see the children's engagement as they shared some family stories and trips they have made to places such as Eden Camp. I will discuss the forthcoming school trip with the children next week.
The children revised some methods of arithmetic and will continue with this next week.
The children were also excited to learn that they will be taking part in the 500 words story competition 500 words story competition We will be revising aspects of grammar and punctuation to support this over the next couple of weeks.
All in all a super start!
