Hi everyone,
It has been another very busy week in school but I am pleased with how hard Ash Tree are continuing to work.
In English, we have been learning about onomatopoeia and the features of poetry in preparation for writing some poems of our own next week. In Maths, Miss Bairstow's group have been applying their understanding of formal methods for addition and subtraction to solve word problems. I was particularly impressed with their excellent, resilient attitudes when things became a little bit harder and the progress they made this week. Mrs Trotter's groups have been focusing on the order of operations and applying the principles of BIDMAS/BODMAS to solving problems.
It has been great to see so many members of Ash Tree get involved in sporting activities this week too! Several members of our class represented the school at a cross country event on Thursday and others at a football match on Tuesday evening.
