Weekly Update 21.5.21

Hello everyone,
This week's highlight was undoubtedly our trip to the award-winning Nell Bank centre in Ilkley! As a brilliant hook for our new topic (Stone Age to Iron Age), activities included den building, making fires, cave painting, basket weaving, an artefacts session and learning about the chronology of early history. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and all had a fantastic time! I have to also add that behaviour was exceptional so an extra well done to the children is in order. The experiences we gained on the trip will feed into this term's learning back at school.
Massive thanks to everyone at Nell Bank, all our LKS2 staff and our parent volunteers for making this happen... as I'm sure you can imagine, running school trips in the current climate is a huge challenge, but extremely beneficial to the children's learning and wellbeing.
