08/01/21 Blog Post: Home Learning Week Commencing 11/01/21

Posted: Jan 8, 2021 by: Mrs. Cahill (n.cahill) on: Beech Tree Class Blog 2020-21

Good afternoon Beech Tree Class and families,

I hope you all had a good week and that you have been able to get on well with your home learning. Next week's timetable and resources are linked below. Try to follow it as best as you can, though the afternoons are more flexible.

Planning and Resources for Y4 Beech

You should have all of the relevant usernames and passwords in your pack. If you are missing any of these or need advice on how to access anything please let me know via email.

I can see some of you have already logged onto Teams - well done! I encourage all of you to have a go this weekend if you haven't done already. Mrs Waddilove-Carr and I will be leaving messages, tasks and feedback from your work on here so it's important that you can access this. If you are still unsure on how to access Teams, click here to watch Miss Tidey's guide.

I will still be giving out merits so remember to work hard and hand your work in!

We have set up a class email contact so that you can send me pictures of work or ask any questions you have. Please send these emails to beech@ruffordparkprimary.org.uk

This week’s home learning resources can be downloaded as a zip file. You will find…

  • A Home Learning Planner – this outlines the English and maths work that must be completed by the end of the week. We recommend you aim to complete your maths / English tasks each morning before lunch, when you’re feeling freshest.
  • An optional ‘other subjects menu’ for the afternoons – you can choose any of these to complete. As it’s our first proper week on Teams, we’ve tried not to overload you!
  • Maths resources – these will also be available on Teams. Each morning you will need to watch an introductory video, then complete the task before uploading your work to Teams before 1pm so we can start providing feedback. If you prefer, you can upload a photo of your work. We will upload another video explaining the answers the following morning for you to self-mark.
  • English and other resources.

Any questions, feel free to get in touch. And please don’t panic if you have trouble uploading work to Teams this week… we're all new to this (including me!).

Take care and stay positive!

Mrs Cahill
