Weekly Update 4.12.20 from Mrs. Waddilove-Carr

Welcome back to the blog!
It's been a bit of different week in Beech Tree Class this week as Mrs Cahill is not here. Instead we have had Mrs Reynolds teaching us Monday to Wednesday and Mrs Waddilove-Carr on Thursday and Friday.
Reading – We have been doing a lot of reading comprehension’s this week, we have looked through the text and highlighted the answers and then discussed this as a class. The children have a reading comprehension to do as homework this week- I’m looking forward to seeing how well they do.
Writing - We have been working on creating our own books all about the Romans. We’ve done quite a bit of work looking at definitions of words ready to use in our glossaries. We’ve also been looking through our previous work and doing a bit more research to put together all the information we know about the Romans.
Maths - We have started a new topic on multiplication and division and have been recapping a different multiplication every day. We have faced some tricky problems this week which has led to some good discussions as we’ve unpicked the problems.
Mosaics- The children have been designing their own Roman Mosaic’s this week, they are looking very colourful. The children also created a digital mosaic in the computer suite.
