Hello everybody, welcome to our first class blog post! These posts will show you snippets of what we have been learning within the week.
It's been great to have everybody back this week... and what a week we've had!
We have started studying poetry in Guided Reading - this week we enjoyed 'On the Ning Nang Nong' by Spike Milligan. We created our own versions and had fun with nonsense and rhyming words.
This week, we also had our first turn on the new trim trail (thank you PTA!) and took part in the online Otley Science Festival where we learnt about optical illusions and how to create them.
We also finished our Roman shields! As part of a DT project, the children planned, designed, created and used their shields in a short re-enactment of the 'testudo' (tortoise) formation.
