Hello everyone,
This week, in our writing, we have continued our poetry unit of work, which is based around Please Mrs Butler. After analysing the different features used within the poem, the children have been changing different sections of the poem which revolve around those different features used. They have now created their own versions of Please Mrs Butler and will stitch all the changed sections together. We have been reading the poems out each as each section has been changed and they sound fantastic!
In our computing, we have continued our programming unit based around repetition of shapes. The children have really enjoyed this unit and produced some great work. Their task this week was to create a geometric wrapping paper design which used one or several shapes (squares and triangles) repeatedly to create the design. They used efficient coding methods to reduce the amount of coding required in order to produce a larger geometric design quicker.
Finally, the children performed their Carol Concert and were absolutely brilliant. I hope all the parents enjoyed it as much we did.
