Happy Friday everyone!!!
We have worked hard in Willow Tree Class this week, finally finishing our Place Value unit in Maths and moving onto Addition and Subtraction. This will take us right through to almost Christmas however the place value we have learnt is so important in everything we do from here onwards so please keep practicing with your children and quizzing them on hundreds, tens and ones.
In English we have started a new focus on a setting description. This will use the same features as our previous piece of work so should build on our previous knowledge and I hope to see some lovely final pieces that I can chat to you about at Parent's Evening in the final week!
If you haven't booked an appointment, please try to do so as it is such an important meeting to discuss the progress of your children as they enter KS2.
There are some pictures below of a fantastic Art lesson taught by Miss Sanderson on Monday. The children learnt about Michelangelo and his upside down painting of the Sistine Chapel. As you can see they enjoyed having a go at producing their own art, upside down!
Have a lovely weekend
