Weekly Update 20.1.22

Hello everyone,
We have had another brilliant week in Willow Tree Class! The children have worked hard on consolidating their understanding of multiplication and division by practising scaling and looking at remainders. Next week, we will move onto our new unit of Measurement.
In English, the children have impressed me with their fantastic handwriting and their super vocabulary by writing up their volcano setting description in neat! Next week, we will move onto our new unit of Persuasive Writing.
Lots of children received their Times Tables Awards badge this morning in our celebration assembly and we look forward to every child trying their hardest to achieve their Bronze badge for just after Easter. Please get in touch if you no longer have your child's username in their reading record.
Homework will be sent home tonight and is due in on Wednesday. A polite reminder that we do go through this in class each Thursday so children must make sure both the main activity and spellings are completed. Please get in touch, if your child is struggling with completing this.
On Tuesday, we will be making papier mache volcanoes and we advise that all children bring a 'messy shirt' to put over their PE kit. It would be great if you could also send your child with a small paper or plastic bowl that they can mould their volcano around - these will be returned at the end of the week.
