Hello!
With only 1 week to go until the Easter holidays we have been working very hard in Lime Tree.
In Maths we have started a new topic all about position and direction. Year 1 have been describing turns using the language - half, quarter, full, anticlockwise and clockwise. Year 2 have been describing movement and position using the language - left, right, turn, forwards, backwards, above, below and between.
In English we have used our imagination to take Stick Man on a journey around Yeadon. We have then gathered ideas to create an information poster all about Yeadon. The children have used some great persuasive language to try entice visitors to come to Yeadon.
We have finished our 'Yeadon Explorers' Topic by making our own comparison of Tulum and Yeadon. The children had to think about the human and physical features of both areas and think about what is the same and what is different. They also had to answer the question - Where would you rather live?
