Hi Apple Class children and families!
We hope you have all had a lovely Easter holiday, and that the Easter bunny made it to your homes ! The weather has been lovely and all the Reception Staff have been enjoying the sunshine in our gardens. We have loved hearing form you via Tapestry and we are so glad you have been making the most of your family time too.
On Monday we would ordinarily be starting the Summer term and a new theme, but these are unusual times and we are not back at school ! Therefore we have tried to provide you with some ideas to help you continue your learning at home. We have tried to keep things simple and reflect the play based curriculum taught in Early Years. Below we have added a Phonics plan to try to guide you in ways to help your child practice the sounds that they had learnt before closure. We understand this is a big ask and please let us know how this goes. We have added a Math's Menu with ideas that we hope are practical and easy for you to adapt. There is also a 'Growing' themed document with ideas about this topic. There have been a few requests for worksheets so we have created a bank of these for you. We must stress that these are not compulsory. We recognize that learning at home is very different to learning at school; it is our aim to provide guidance and support not to add pressure. The most important thing is that you all remain happy and healthy !
