In maths we have started our column addition and subtraction lessons with 4-digit numbers and started our preparation for the government Year 4 MTC where the children have to answer 25 questions on any timestables from 0x0 to 12x12 with 6 seconds per question. A free resource is on Mathsframe which mirrors what the government assessment will look like in June.
Miss Maher has the following to report from yesterday's History lesson.
We learned about Roman roads and why the Ancient Romans built them in Britain. We discovered how Roman roads helped the army travel quickly and made it easier to transport people and goods.
We had lots of fun creating our own Roman roads using clay, pebbles and gravel. Please see our photos below.
A big thank you to all the parents who sent in pebbles and gravel — they really helped to make our roads look authentic!
