Following on from the ‘Save the Date’ in last week’s newsletter, here is a little more information about Rufford ParkLife, 2026.
We are looking forward to the children from Rufford having the chance to ‘shine’ with music talents for the day!
During the afternoon (school time), all children from Reception to Y6 will be singing to (hopefully) an audience of parents. Times will be between 1.30 and 3.15pm. But there will also be performances from children who have been learning instruments this year with Mr Jennings and Miss White, and a group of piano playing children will also be given an opportunity to play.
If your child is in Y5, the Ukulele Gig will take place from 3.30 until 4pm, so this will mean we would like them to stay after school for a little longer; if your child is in choir this term, they will be performing from 4pm until 4.30pm, so again, it is hoped they can stay until this later time (and that you will come along and form the audience, too!)
Please let Mrs Amos know if your child (in Y5 OR in choir) cannot stay until the later time on oak@ruffordparkprimary.org.uk
And then…as a grand finale to our music festival, we have invited a covers band, The Merlins, featuring Mr Jennings, to do a gig for us from 6pm until 8pm, here at school.
Family tickets will need to be purchased (£5 per family – 2 adults, 3 children) and there will be more information about how to purchase one next week. FORP and Pinnacle will also be providing a BBQ and a bar, so please do come along, ready to spend some money to raise some funds too.
