Dear Parents/Carers 

As a school we would really like to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

Celebrations will be taking place across the country on Thursday 8th May.

Classroom activities will be taking place throughout the day but all children will have the opportunity to learn more about VE Day through an assembly, dress in VE Day attire (see below) and participate in a street party style lunch. (Please see attached menu) 

Suggested costume for the day: Dress in red, white and blue clothing or wear a period style costume from 1945 (grey shorts or pinafore/grey skirt, white shirt and tank top or knitted cardigan).
