This week in Lime Tree
We have had a busy and exciting week in Lime Tree!
In History, we have been comparing Nellie Spindler and Florence Nightingale, discussing the similarities and differences between these two inspiring women and their contributions to history.
In English, we have been planning and writing our own poems linked to What the Ladybird Heard. We have been focusing on using onomatopoeia and alliteration to make our writing more interesting and engaging.
In Art, we explored land art using natural materials. The children used sticks and leaves to create their own designs. Some children made beautiful pictures of flowers and butterflies, while one group worked together to create a tree.
In Computing, we have been discussing how to stay safe when using computers. We then worked in groups to create posters to remind everyone of the importance of staying safe online.
A reminder for next week: Next Thursday is school photograph day! Please ensure that the children come to school wearing their normal school uniform, rather than their PE kit. They should wear trainers on the day.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to another wonderful week in Lime Tree!
