This week has been another busy and exciting week of learning in our class.
In English, we have continued our work around the book What the Ladybird Heard. We have been developing our understanding of the different characters through hot seating, where we took on the roles of characters from the story and answered questions as them. We also wrote our own questions for the different characters and thought carefully about how they might have felt at different points in the story. We have been working hard to explain our ideas and use details from the story to support our thinking.
In History, we have been learning about Florence Nightingale and exploring why she was such an important person in history. We have been finding out about her work as a nurse and thinking about the changes she helped to make to hospitals and healthcare.
In Maths, we have been learning how to use the greater than, less than and equal to symbols to compare numbers. We have also been practising ordering numbers from smallest to largest and from largest to smallest. We have been developing our confidence when comparing numbers and explaining how we know which number is greater or smaller.
In Science, we have continued our work on mammals and have now started learning about reptiles. We have been looking at the features of reptiles and thinking about what makes them different from other groups of animals. We are enjoying finding out more about the different animals in the world around us.
Well done everyone for another fantastic week of learning!
