Hello everyone,
This week, in our writing, the children published their magazine articles based on the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. They did this using the Chrome Books and they were able to demonstrate lots of different computing skills in order to fully publish their articles. Well done!
In reading, we focused our last week on reading and performing Egyptian themed poetry. We also analysed and discussed the different features that appeared within this particular poem e.g rhyming words on line 2 and 4 for every stanza.
In maths, we completed our unit on statistics. The children had collected to different sets of data, one taken in a day and one taken over a period of five weeks, and these were presented using a bar chart and line graph. The children then analysed these and asked different questions about each set of data and then answered the questions.
For our topic work, the children created posters to showcase everything that they had learnt about Ancient Egypt, and they also brought in their homework projects (based on our topic) and presented these to the class. Parents were also invited to come in and have all at the children’s projects, which was a lovely experience for everyone. Well done, everyone!
