Hello everyone,
This week, the children have published their persuasive leaflet work, which they have worked so hard on. The finished pieces are excellent and they should be very proud of them! We have now begun our poetry unit on Haikus.
In maths, we have been finding tenths as fractions, finding tenths as decimals and we have been finding tenths as decimals using our place value charts. It’s been lovely to see the children becoming more confident with explaining what is happening to the value of the digits as they move right or left on the place value chart (especially now that we have introduced decimals) and understanding the calculations that are required in order to turn tenths as fractions into tenths as decimals.
The children have also taken part in The Wizard of Oz performance, and they were all fantastic, so well done everyone!
In DT, the children have also started making their kites using a range of tools and skills to create ithem. These will be completed next week!
