Hello everyone,
This week, it has been assessment week, and the children have worked really hard throughout all of them and it’s clear that lots of progress has been made. Well done, everyone!
In our writing, we have started writing our persuasive leaflets all about food waste. It’s lovely to see how passionate the children are about the solutions to quite a big problem and applying this into their writing using a range of great persuasive devices.
In our topic lesson, the children were learning all about the cocoa tree and understanding the journey of how a cocoa pod ends up as chocolate. The children really enjoyed it and demonstrated great knowledge throughout the lesson.
In DT, we have been learning about the different parts of kites, their functions, different types of kites, and, for this week’s lesson, the children planned, designed and labelled their own kites that they will make.
