Maple Tree Home Learning - 18.5.20
Hi Maple Tree Class,
Hope you are all ok. It has been lovely speaking to some of you this week and hearing from your parents and carers how hard you have been working at home. Remember to also keep reading and get your reading records signed during the next few weeks, so I will be able to see how often you have been reading for pleasure.
Your maths worksheets can again be accessed here - just click on the day of the week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday . All of the teaching videos are still available by clicking the website link on your weekly timetable and answers to the worksheets are below the weekly timetable.
You will also see that your English work this week has a daily teaching video again to help you and that you are working on persuasive letter writing. You have written several letters in class this year, so will be able to revisit skills you already have. We will continue with story writing when we return to school.
Don't forget to check your answers for your Basic Skills Maths Challenge from last week - Answer sheet 1, Answer sheet 2, Answer sheet 3. Your next challenge is below your weekly timetable and is an arithmetic paper.
Another exciting opportunity, starting this week, is The Great Science Share for Schools (click here). Each week there will be a different scientific theme where you can think of a particular question you would like to investigate and then decide what you might need to do to find out more - then share on Rufford Park's Science Page.
Finally, don't forget to ask your parents or carers to order your Leavers' Hoodies from PC Sports in Yeadon.
Keep working hard and stay safe
Mrs Trotter
