Ash Tree Home Learning - 26.3.20

Hello Ash Tree Class!

I hope you and your families are all well and have been staying safe. If you have a garden and can safely spend time outside in this lovely weather make sure you do so - I have been eating my lunch outside for the past few days making the most of the sunshine!

I was in school on Tuesday and completed the "P.E with Joe" workout with a group of children. It was hard work but we all felt much better afterwards! Remember you would usually be getting over an hour of exercise each day at break time and lunch time so it is important you do something to keep active whilst we are not in school. If you miss one of the daily live workouts they are all uploaded to Joe's YouTube channel and you can find them here. I have been doing them everyday since!

I hope you have been busy with your work booklets and have enjoyed the range of activities in them. Try and complete one English and one maths task each day, alongside your daily reading. Remember you all have important school years coming up in September: Year 6's you will be starting a new journey at secondary school and Year 5's you will be entering your final year of primary school so you must make sure you keep learning during this time! I am sure you all will though because you have already worked incredibly hard this year and I am very proud of you all for your efforts.

Hopefully you will be using this time to read lots of books and complete your book review templates included in your work packs. Even though you only have one template of each, remember you can also create your own template on plain paper if you wish to do some more. I am looking forward to seeing them and hearing about all the books you have read.

If you would like more books to read, school now have access to a site called Oxford Owls where you can access a range of reading books to read electronically. There are also maths and grammar resources for parents to use to support your learning.

Use this link to access the site:

Make sure you click on the pink "My class login" box and enter the following details:

I will keep updating this page every Thursday with more ideas and links. In the meantime, stay safe and I hope to see you all soon!

Miss Bairstow
