Hello Apples!
We hope you’ve had a super week! We have loved hearing from you on Tapestry so please keep your observations coming in. This week, we have been busy planning some new activities and getting resources together for you, which your grown-ups can find below. Our theme for this week is The Life Cycle of a Frog, based on the book The Teeny Weeny Tadpole by Sheridan Cain. Last week in school, we had been making preparations to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day on Friday the 8th May. This day marked 75 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945 – ‘VE’ stands for Victory in Europe. When the war ended in 1945, people had parties to celebrate, hung bunting and made banners. We made our own bunting and pictures in school to celebrate, which can be seen on Last Week’s newsletter. Friday 8th of May was a Bank Holiday, meaning school was closed and Home Learning timetables had Friday as a well-earned day off!
