A shorter than usual week for the children this week but we have still managed to pack lots in.
In English we have been sequencing and retelling the story of 'Where the Wild Things Are'. The children all wrote a part of the story and then retold it orally as a group. I was very impressed with their use of the key story vocabulary.
In maths we have continued our unit on Addition and Subtraction. The children have been adding and subtracting multiples of 10 and adding pairs of 2 digit numbers.
We are coming to the end of our 'Emergency 999' topic and this week we have been recapping on our learning so far. Over the next few weeks the children will be working in pairs to create a News Report about the Great Fire of London.
From next week our Christmas Performance Rehearsals will begin. We have already started to learn the songs and most of the children have been given their parts. All their words will be sent home next week. Your help getting them to learn their lines, at home, and say them clearly is much appreciated.
