A lovely week in Cherry Tree Class!
In English we have been looking at dairies, including entries from Samuel Pepy's diary. We have been talking about the key features and highlighting them in example diaries. The children have also been using drama to act out the events written by Samuel Pepys and writing thought bubbles as him Next week we will continue with our work on diaries beginning to plan our own entry as Samuel Pepys.
In maths the children have been working on their bonds to 20 and fact families. This work on bonds to 10 and 20 will pave the way for our work on bonds to 100.
In our history work we have continued to look at how we know about the Great Fire of London. The children have been looking at paintings and drawings to find evidence about the events. Next week we have our Fire of London Workshops which will really bring this historical event to life for the children.
Tuesday and Wednesday we have our Parent Meetings. If you have not booked an appointment yet please do. I look forward to seeing you then to talk about how your child has settled back to school since September.
