A very hot end to the week!
The highlight of this week was our 'Skipping Festival' on Wednesday at Leeds Trinity University. The children all had an amazing time and skipped their hearts out! We had a few wins too both for individual skips and both group skips. The children all showed great resilience and determination. Most importantly though they all enjoyed themselves. I was very proud of them all!
We have continued our writing, in English, based on the book 'Somebody Swallowed Stanley'. The children have planned and written their own versions of the story creating their own main character. They enjoyed sharing their stories with each other saying what they enjoyed about other's stories.
In maths we have been recapping on 2D and 3D shapes. We have been using mathematical vocabulary to describe their properties.
Next week will see us going into the final 4 weeks of the term and year. We still have lots to do including our next DT project which is to plan and make our own bunting.
