What a beautiful sunny week it has been!
This week in English the children have continued to be inspired by the story 'The Pirates Next Door'. They have been using drama to act our and sequence the story. They have also used this to help them to plan and write a recount as one of the main characters, Matilda.
In Maths we have continued our work on Position and Direction. The children have been thinking about turns and movement. Any work at home linked with reinforcing left and right and clockwise and anti-clockwise would be much appreciated.
Linked with Pirates, we have been looking at our Pirate Lunchbox issue in DT. This week we have been evaluating different lunchboxes. This will help the children when we get to the design part where they will need to design their own lunchboxes for the Pirates. Thank you to those who have sent in boxes for this work. There is still plenty of time left to do this.
The children should all have taken home a letter about our summer trip to 'Harlow Carr Gardens'. Please check your child's book- bag and return the permission slip as soon as possible.
